I was born in the Czech Republic, or Czechoslovakia back then.
My first introduction to photography came from my father, an amateur enthusiast who would often deprive the whole family of using the bathroom as secret alchemy took place in his tiny makeshift infrared kingdom. As a little girl I would often sit on the edge of the bath looking over his shoulder, breathing the fumes, eyes adjusting to the light and watching familiar faces and places take shape.
Today things are different and even my old fashioned father succumbed to the digital revolution. His cabinet, however, still holds an impressive collection of equipment long forgotten.
In the last decade I have gone from an old film SLR (I am a Canon addict) to compact digital to keep the memories of my extensive travels portable, but recently times have changed yet again and I found myself “settled”, out of all places and against all odds, in Siem Reap, Cambodia.
Having lived here for almost 5 years, the honeymoon period has certainly passed but I still venture out as much as possible, I am addicted!
I love telling a story through a lens, seeing the unusual and beautiful in everyday life, I am forever inspired by nature and its endless wonders and different moods. I find a challenge in returning to the same place and seeing it with different eyes each time.

I look and I see: patterns, shapes, texture and contrasts; people provide a steady stream of colourful opportunities for storytelling, snippets of lives and day to day battles of survival – whichever way we choose to perceive the world around us.
My work has found its way to various websites; ABOUTAsia Travel in the lead and many local businesses have used my images for their advertisement.
I have had my photos published in the National Geographic Traveller, Hong Kong Time Out and Travel and Leisure to name a few.
This is how I see the world, enjoy it with me! I will be delighted to take you out on an adventure of a lifetime - Cambodia is waiting for you!
